April 2015<o:p></o:p></b></p><p class=MsoNormal><b><span lang=DE>IG Kultur Wien für mutige Leerstandspolitik der Stadt Wien<o:p></o:p></span></b></p><p class=MsoNormal>Die IG Kultur Wien begrüßt die Entscheidung der Stadt Wien, im heutigen Kulturausschuss das Magistrat zur Durchführung aller notwendigen Vorarbeiten zur Etablierung einer Serviceagentur „Kreative Räume“ zu beauftragen.<br>Über die Konzeption der Agentur selbst ist aber bisher nichts Genaueres bekannt. Aktuelle Studien – unter anderem auch von der Stadt beauftragte – liegen seit Jahren vor. Jetzt ist die einmalige Chance, diese Empfehlungen mutig im Sinne der NutzerInnen umzusetzen.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>NutzerInnenbeirat gefordert<br>"Es braucht ein politisches Bekenntnis, Initiativen zu unterstützen, die nicht kommerziell ausgerichtet sind und schwer oder gar nicht an leistbare Räumlichkeiten herankommen“, so Willi Hejda, Obmann der IG Kultur Wien. „Um nicht an den Interessen der künftigen NutzerInnen vorbeizuarbeiten braucht es einen NutzerInnenbeirat aus Vertretern sozialer, kultureller und kreativwirtschaftlicher Bereiche, die bei der Konzeption dieses Leerstandsmanagements ernsthaft eingebunden sind."<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Städtisches Leerstandsmanagement braucht städtische Immobilien<br>Offen ist weiterhin, ob die Stadt vor allem auf städtisches Eigentum bei der Vermittlung von Räumen zurückgreifen wird. „Nur im Rahmen eines nicht-kommerziellen Konzepts, das notwendiger Weise beim Gemeindeeigentum selbst beginnt, kann fair leistbarer Raum jenen zur Verfügung gestellt werden, die ihn brauchen, aber nicht leisten können“, so Hejda. „Eine mutige Stadtpolitik sieht Leerstand als ein städtisches Allgemeingut an und schafft Perspektiven im gemeinsamen Miteinander von StadtbewohnerInnen.“<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>2014 hat die IG Kultur Wien die Stadtverantwortlichen in einer <a href="http://www.leerstand.igkulturwien.net/">Petition</a>, die von über tausend Initiativen und Einzelpersonen unterschrieben wurde, zu einem mutigen Umgang mit Leerstand aufgefordert.<br>Es gibt viele Beispiele aus anderen europäischen Städten, die für die Entwicklung eines nachhaltigen Leerstandsmanagements Pate stehen könnten.
